I would like to bring to your attention that I suffered from extreme food poisoning approximately an hour and a half after eating Highveld mushrooms last Sunday. I endured nausea, muscle pains and disorientation. These mushrooms were purchased from Checkers five days prior to the incident. I'm not sure if there was a hygiene problem or one toxic mushroom in the batch, but certainly quality checks should be done as if the wrong mushroom type is packaged this can obviously be lethal or result in organ failure etc. depending on the toxin released? I attempted to send an email, but the email addresses on the website bounced.
