We have recruited 2 people in the past 6 months with Unique. Both left after less than 3 months, under the auspices of unrecoverable family related illnesses. These illnesses were pre existing at the time the candidates' CV's were forwarded to us. Interestingly, the first candidate's incurable family illness miraculously vanished and after a few weeks, he reported his employment elsewhere. The second candidate was overheard talking on his mobile looking for alternative work days after joining! Family crises do happen. However it seems incongruous that two pre existing family matters were not uncovered in the candidate vetting process by the same agency. The costs and time associated with recruiting candidates are exorbitant, as are the non refundable fees we're obliged to pay Unique Personnel, who point blankly refuse to admit any responsibility on their part. We have employed no less than 10 new candidates using various recruitment agencies over the past 18 months. We have a unique failure rate with Unique Personnel. Unique's solutuion is to blame their client and to offer another candidate - Having been kicked by the same horse twice, we prefer to vote with our feet!
