I borrowed a coat for a wedding, I dropped it at the "dry cleaners - Sandown Laundry on Sandown Road West Beach" and was told it would be ready by Friday. I went to collect it, the first thing I noticed was the colour but then the buttons which had been ruined. When I mentioned the buttons to the owner, he said he doesn't know what to say and his wife said that they usually cover the buttons. Anyway, I left and when I dropped the coat off at my aunts, the first thing she noticed was the colour. When I got home I phoned the Sandown Laundries and told the owner that there was something wrong with the colour, that it was pure white when I dropped it off and now it was off white with a grey discolouring, eventually he said I can bring it back and he'll send it back to the guy who cleans them. Besides getting appauling sms's to say that the coat was ready & it was a bit whiter but the buttons were still the same and that they wouldn't charge me for this clean!!! I called them before I collected to say that someone needs to take responsiblity for this and she offered to go half's on the buttons - seriously, that would cost maybe R2. I now have to replace the grey coat with a white coat.
