Failure to communicate with costumers

I live with my parents. They have a tv licence which was paid yearly in different months for over 3yrs and no complaints were received from sabc until last year we received a letter from their lawyers saying we owe the R1600 and extra rands. I called their offices and asked what the amount was for they said its arrears on the account but I asked them why haven't they send through a letter before, they told me they didn't have address nor telephone number of the customer and then I asked how is that possible, if they didn't how did their lawyer get hold of the address. I later spoke to the vvm worker by the name of nthabiseng whom I told that the account was paid every year and even emailed her the proofs but also said that I want to take over my parents set under my name since I also had a tv license and living at home she then said I need to buy the set from my parents and also have an affidavit which I did and sent the documents to her but heard no other response from her, I kept sending emails and not replied after a month I received a call from Shabir attorneys saying they were instructed by SABC to attend to the case but failed to honor agreements & were rude at times
