Can anyone tell me if there is a company called CAF Mobile. Apparently I won R250 000. I know this is a as I got such sms's before. But I was angry at them for sending something like this again to me. And all I can think about are the other poor people falling for this.
So, I phone the agent - William. Says congratulations on your winnings and I must send my details and he'll send me further details. I got the sms saying: ATT: SPOKIE DEAR, RICA GENERAL ACCOUNTANT IN REGARD TO YOUR TRANSFER OF YOUR CHEQUE YOU HAVE TO PAY R1820 FOR INSURANCE AND COURIER DELIVER OF THE CHARGE SO THAT THE TRACKING NUMBER WILL BE GIVEN TO YOU AND YOUR CHEQUE WILL BE LIVING TO YOU PROVINCE - CPT. CONTACT NUMBER: 0218365216. MRS MALENI OR MR LEE THANK YOU.(their spelling) So I said I'll collect, seeing that they are in CPT area. I was then told that the cheque comes from JHB and I will have to pay that amount. After asking if they paid it in my account, then the payment should be less. No no, the amount stays the same. Obviously I cancelled, because I was trying to get some clarity on these. But to no avail.
