The other day while having lunch with friends at salvation cafe at 44 stanley avenue, my friend opened (just opened!) her box of cigarettes, a man walked by and told her "you're making a big mistake sweetheart! i am the owner of 44 stanley and this is a non smoking area! " said friend apologized, put her smokes away and he just scowled at her and walked away.
Now, this happened mid conversation and to call a woman "sweetheart" and also the way he said it to her just upset most of us at the table.
I was really taken aback that the owner of a building would approach and speak to people sitting at a restaurant in said building.
completely disgusted by the way he handled it.
