In Oct. 2012, we asked Dewald Jansen van Vuuren of Pool Gurus to repair our pool & coat it with epoxy paint. Pool Solutions, whose epoxy we'd bought, recommended him.
He gave the quote quickly - R7, 695 to fix holes in the pool, repair the step, do acid & high-pressure washes, smooth out the surface & do the 4-layer epoxy process over 3 days. It was difficult getting Dewald to complete the job - he wouldn't come when he said he would. It was eventually done, but I suspect steps were missed - I couldn't check as I was at work.
Our pool still leaks, cracks are back. Whatever he used as grouting between the tiles came off n a week. We noticed bubbles under the epoxy layer. We called Dewald, asked him to check. He sent someone else. He then said he would contact Pool Solutions to find out what to do about the bubbles. This was in Dec. & he stopped returning calls. Pool Solutions says they can't reach him. They inspected his work & said he did bad job. We have to redo.
