My Jack Russell has a litter of 5 pups and I noticed that she was struggling to feed the hungry pups who were growing fast, wanting more feeds daily. So at 4 weeks, I went to my nearest Vet Shop and asked for advice. The sales assistant recommended Hills Science Plan Veterinary Puppy Savoury Chicken canned food. I purchased a can to see if the puppies would like it. What a disappointment. The contents were dry and solid mass and puppies not interested. Next morning, I purchased another branded canned puppy food with rice - puppies loved it. Contents were moist. Lodged complaint with toll-free number and provided info.. Awaiting feedback. Noticed on label, canned food is for pups from 2 months, so perhaps vet shop sales assistant gave wrong recommendation. Dunno what to think, need supplier to contact me with feedback.
