We had an appointment for Friday 17 Jan 2014 at 3.00pm. Upon arrival at Seelan Pillay offices 18 Caston Grove Musgrave Durban at 2.55pm, we rang the bell several times and eventually had to phone. A lady opened the gate with a remote.. We were disgusted at the filth and dirt on the driveway leading to the office. The lawn was un-kept the grass was 30cm high. The stairs had weeds growing in between the tiles. Once inside the premises it stank of urine to the extent that I blocked my nose. Our appointment was for 3.00pm but the secretary kept telling us that Mr Pillay says another 5 minutes. At 2.20pm I asked the secretary to open the gate as we had another appointment. She kept saying that Mr Pillay had the remote. I called for Mr Pillay to open but was ignored. Eventually we were told to go to the car and the gate would be opened. This was only done after 3.30pm. We were held by Mr Pillay against our will as hostages.
