This old account that belonged to my mother. In September/October 2012 we informed the SABC that my mother moved to me in April 2012. Her TV license was due in July 2012. I did not renew her license as she was living with us now. She moved from Richardsbay to me in Stellenbosch. As she sold all her belongings, I confirmed with SABC that because she does not have a TV anymore, I must just get a affidavit from her, where she stated she sold the TV to her son. We went to the police station to do that, and forwarded to SABC. And I attached my updated TV license. And I confirmed that she is staying with me. For your reference, my TV license number is 207583618/MRS EP NIEMANN, ID 7805260230086. I pay by debit order.
After emailing all this to the TV license department, they confirmed it has been updated. Now, this attorneys are repeatedly phoning my mother and claiming that she ows over R700!! We did explain to them, but they do not listen to reason. This is a closed updated account. Please update your system!!
