I had an FNB credit which I could not pay due to non employment. However in 2010/2011 I was employed again hence not received anything from FNB with regards to the credit card debt. I took it as my responsibility to ensure that I get the details of how much I owe hence to settle the account. I was told the account was handed over, I was given Groenewald Lubbe's numbers. I called them I was told I owe R 24 000... I asked a print out of how this debt has accumulated it was sent to me, when perusing I saw charges of letters sent to me, phone calls, sms's, judgements x3 and interest.
Perusing the statement still I saw that the judgement amount was R 10 885 and when sent to court it amounted to R 11000 and something. However I paid R 10 900 for the judgement in 2011 and what this company did, they took the money and created a credit card profile into my FNB account hence I had opened a smart account..and in the profile they stated I owed FNB R 11 000, I tried calling FNB and them to ask where is the R 11 000 coming from, hence dont agree with their charges and have settled the judgement and only left with legal fees which are approximately R 650
