I first got an unsolicited email from Dr Sim toward the end of 2012, even though I have never given her permission to send me any communication whatsoever. Her email also did not offer an opt-out option. On 31 December 2012, I replied to her email and requested to be removed from her mailing list. I also pointed out that her failure to supply an opt-out option was a criminal offence. She promptly replied to apologise, and confirmed that she had removed me from her database. She also stated that she had probably obtained my details from a medical doctor somewhere. (I have never given any doctor permission to distribute my details. Her inability to supply me with exact contact details where she obtained my email address is a further criminal offence).
Today I received another unsolicited message from Dr Sim, even though she confirmed that I have been removed from her system. And, once again, there is no Opt-Out option.
I am further disappointed that the unsolicited messages are associated with Discovery Vitality services. I am a Vitality member and in December 2012 I alerted Discovery to this unsolicited spam.
