While on holiday from New Zealand, we checked the price for admission to the Eagle Encounters on the Internet. On arrival at Spier on Sunday 30 December, we were charged R10 more per adultthan quoted on the website. Rather than making a fuss at the entrance, I paid for the 7 adults and one child. The following day I wrote to query the price, this is the reply I received:
The reason that there is a discrepancy with the prices on our website is that the increase was effective from the 1st December 2012 and our web designer was already on leave at the time of the increase. Understandably, I can only get her to amend the website upon her return.
I don't believe that this is good enough. I wrote back in response and have not been contacted since. Where are the consumer guarantee laws in South Africa?
