I have been informed that a motivation to pay for special glasses was turned down and that I cannot use the funds in my savings account to pay the outstanding balance. I have a medical aid to provide to me in cases like this so that I do not have to pay from my own pocket. What I am being told indirectly it that it is OK for them to take thousands of rands on a monthly basis, but when I actually need the medical aid to pay something for me, they cannot.
What is the solution to this matter? Leave the eye exams and glasses and continue to worsen your eyes just because of some technical clause that has been implemented by the medical aid. I am not trying to abuse the aid, just trying to see better.
