My mom was a patient at the unit. she was supposed to receive chronic medication for her the evening as the doctor decided to keep her for the nigt. this was prescribed but NOT dispensed.
Than due to administering of post operative medication incorrectly, my mom fell ill and was nauseus the entire evening and moring thereafter. I took the liberty of informing her Dr who was not told by the nursing staff, and than when he came and asked what was administered for the nausea and vomitting the sister in charge was unaware of my mom being ill, she also could not find anything in the file that was supposedly given for nausea. When i complained about the poor service. the PRO of the hospital stated that she checked the file and they has administered non scripted meds? BOGUS. and once that didnt work the staff documented giving my mom ice to eat... also BOGUS. nothing was given to my mom.
i will never go back to that hospital and i will continue to advise others not to have surgeries at the hospiatl.. They are lousy and charge full medical rates, but staff STUDENT nurses who know VERY VERY little
