Great handling of a complaint!

I would like to compliment The Squires Loft Parkhurst for the excellent way they handled a complaint. On Sunday my wife, parents-in-law and myself went for lunch at Squires. The previous time we were there the food and service was exceptional but on Sunday, while the food was good, the service was poor. We had to ask for ice three times, everything took long to arrive and an order was mixed up. When Jacky (who I assume is the owner) came to our table to ask us how we were doing, I told her what had happened and that we weren't having a great time. She apologised and admitted that they were understaffed, as they hadn't expected so many walk-ins. I appreciated the apology - everybody slips up now and again, I just wanted it acknowledged. I then saw her speaking to the manager and waiter, who both came to apologise as well and shortly after that we were given a complimentary dessert platter and coffees. Thanks guys, for hearing us and making our lunch end on a great note after a rocky start. We will be back soon!
