I was pregnant and had to pay all my consultations cash and claim it back. A year has now passed and I'm still struggling to get my money back. Gems had various excuses as to why they didn't pay out my claims from proof of payment not received to never receiving the claims even though I've submitted everything correctly, I have spoken to a team leader there by the name of Mahlatse Kekane who almost never returns my phone calls or emails I have gone to the branch to resubmit all my documents I have sent through several complaints to the complaints department and still I have had no success. I've spent hundreds on phone calls faxes and emails and thousands in services that I have yet to be reimbursed for. My claims have now added up to almost R17000! it has been the most frustrating couple of months to find someone at gems who can help me.
