I took my grandson who was running a very high fever to Cape Gate Medi Clinic because his mother could not and because I was the person admitting him (he is only 5) I had to complete and sign the forms.
No one told me to read the form and I was under the impression that I was merely supplying them with the medical aid details etc but apparently there is a clause in the form that states that the person who fills in the form, is responsible to pay any amounts not covered by the medical aid.
I find this totally unacceptable because the medical aid is not in my name nor am I the parent. I only filled in the forms.
Why is this my problem? And now that I have paid (because I was listed as a default payer), they refuse to remove this from my name at the credit bureau.
