I needed a new repeat script and phoned the doctor's rooms. I was told a script would wait for me when I arrive after work. When I arrived, there was no script as the doctor left early. I had to sit and wait for half an hour to speak to someone. Another doctor came to fetch files and the receptionist told him I was waiting - he asked me what meds I needed and gave me the repeat script - took all of 30 seconds. He is not even my doctor! I now receive an SMS stating I owe them R180 prescription fee! WHAT A RIP-OFF! Just money - that is all - no care and certainly NO service. Bring on the NHS so these people can actually start working for their money. This is disgraceful! And we wonder why we need blood pressure meds.
