I woke up with pain - I couldn't on the bed, stand, sit or walk. I was worried about the symptoms especially as I am pregnant with twins. I went to sunninghill emergency and the nurse on duty did a test on my urine and turned to me said the test shows negative meaning I am not pregnant and walked out of the room. I told my husband by sms the news as he was filling papers on my behalf. We called our gyae immediately. It was established the nurse did an infection test not a pregnancy test. The doctor on call said he will prescribe the painkillers to be taken by drip if I needed it. I told him I will ask for it but for now I will try to bear the pain. The same nurse who was next to the dr when he was talking to me about the script and option to use painkillers proceeded to bring the drip stand to me for attachment of drip. I said I don't want to use the drip then she responded but the dr said we must give you the drip. I said to her yes he prescribed it just in case but i don't have to use it - I can ask for it. I said the pain has improved because of the design of the bed - I could adjust the back rest. I was booked into hospital. The nurse never aplogised for trauma caused to us
