I'd been convinced by an Ellies representative at Builders Warehouse North Riding to replace my 12V/50W incandescent downlights with the 12V/5W Ellies energy saver. I purchased 10 units in December 2012. I've had them fitted in January 2013 and these lamps had blown the Radiant electronic transformers that they were coupled to through the first three months. Radiant was kind and professional enough to replace these transformers under their 5 Year Guarantee.
Subsequently, six of the replaced units have blown over the next few months and I'm quite sick and tired of going through the process of replacing transformers over and over again. Prior to changing to the Ellies product these transformers never failed.
I want Ellies to provide a solution to either stop their lamps from damaging my transformers (including eliminating the flickering), replace these 12V lamps with 220V (to eliminate the transformers) or refund their 12V lamps.
