I am studying through UNISA and have to do modules on-line. However, the on-line facility MyUnisa, through which I gain access to the study material and learning units, are often off-line, or the links to resources does not work properly. When the system is off-line, no prior warning is given. I work full time and have only limited time to access MyUnisa. If the service is down, it's time wasted and lost opportunities. There is no way I can catch up.
UNISA has to ensure that MyUnisa is up and running 24/7 and that all links work properly if they want to teach students on-line. If they cannot guarantee that they should revert back to the old way of doing things.
I am very, very disappointed in UNISA and will not recommend them to anyone who wants to study through them. It is not just MyUnisa that bugs me. It is UNISA's service to and support of the students in general as well. They don't reply to your e-mails. Study material gets delivered late if at all.
WAKE UP UNISA AND DO SOMETHING!!!
