Mr Venter's secretary, Lavania, phones small accommodation establishments in Cape Town to arrange accommodation for his partner Ms Debbie Morck-Laight the following day. She has a son of 7 years old living here with his father who has full custody of the child. The secretary asks for the account to be faxed to the number: 086 608 7438 and then claims it was never received, even on being re-sent and e-mailed to her personal e-mail address. On checking out, Ms Laight said we must send the account to Mr Ryan Venter but gave an incorrect e-mail address. We found the correct phone numbers, addresses, e-mail accounts, Id numbers etc and have made numerous phone calls and e-mails to both Debbie Laight and Ryan Venter who keep telling and making false promises. The Guest House Association of SA has put us in touch with other victims of this couple, criminal charges have been laid but they still continue to operate in this manner and will no doubt continue to other guest houses.
