My son is in Grade 2 in King Edward VII Preparatory School in Houghton.
Last week I have drove my son to the school trip to the Rand Airport. I have taken my son in my car rather than the buses as I do not trust the drivers due to their reckless driving.
On the way back from the airport one of the school buses almost pushed me off the road. I hit the front wheel of my car into the island after which I hit the breaks to a dead stop to avoid a serious accident.
During this experience my son was very frightened, screaming and almost in tears.
When the buses, and ourselves arrived back to the school I have approached the driver to let him know how reckless he drove, specifically with children in the bus. Without asking me what the problem is and how they can help, the PE teacher Miss Jones and the Sport HOD Mr Demartinis protected the bus driver and both came very close to my face, shouting from the top of their lungs to move away from the bus and to get in my car and go away. All this happened in front of my son, pupils, teachers and passers by. I am fighting against bulling in the school for 2 years and now I realized where is coming from. No measures have been taken yet by the HM.
