Vineyard Christian School
Misrepresentation of students marks

I would like to ask that an urgent investigation be done into the possibility of activity at Vineyard Christian School West Rand. My daughter is one of many kids who attended Vineyard Christian School West Rand from Grade 1 which was the year 2010 through to 2012. According to her marks she was an above average student and got so many awards and her marks were incredible. Mostly averaging over 70 per cent. The school never gave me any indication that she may be battling to cope. We relocated to Cape Town where she was assessed and to my dismay she is so far behind she has to repeat the year. Her basic reading, writing, spelling, language etc is shockingly low. I was further shocked to learn that there some other parents who have had the same problem as their kids cannot function in any other schools as their marks are so low they have to repeat. Being a private ACSI school, one would never question that your child is in capable hands. What upsets most of the parents is that we spend a lot of money on school fees, exceeding over R2200pm. I demand that something be done about this as my child has suffered severe depression and eczema due to stress.
