In December I accepted a quote to waterproof and tile my balcony. I specifically accepted it because of the promise they made to have the work done before Christmas, as I had people staying over for the holidays. I also sent a mail to make sure what constraints there were to the type of tiles I could buy. I was assured that my choice in tile will in no way affect my quote. So I accepted.
The process was dragged way beyond the deadline.
Rubble was left on the lawn for so long, it was completely destroyed.
More promises were made about tiling, nothing happened.
I was eventually told to get my own tiler, as Universal Roofing had no business agreeing to my request in the first place. I agreed on the condition that they send a new contract, stating the terms of the new deal. Including something that states the guarantee will stand, no matter what happens to the tiling. I don't want later problems to be blamed on tiles, because I did not choose to go elsewhere.
The new deal was never sent. My emails were ignored. And now they're sending lawyers letters for money I would gladly pay, if they would just send me the paperwork.
These people are rude and unreliable. Don't use them.
