A man named Paul came to our place of business at 06:00 in the morning (we are a 24 hour garage) and claimed to be the owner of a very reputable business in the area (The Maintenance and Handyman Master) and (Rubble and Refuse Masters). He said that he had a very sick son and needed R350 for the hospital but that the ATM swallowed his card. When we asked for identification he claimed to have left it at home as it was an emergency. He promised to repay us by 09:30 after the banks opened. He never came back. After numerous phone calls he finally admitted that he never had the money to pay us back but that he would have it by Friday. When we asked for identification he claimed to have lost his ID and drivers. He did not pay the money back and his phone is now off. He drives a Pajero, NP56109 (apparently without a licence).
This may not be the correct platform for this type of complaint but this local businessman might from other unsuspecting people unless what he does is known.
