We contracted Olive tree (Mark Willis) to perform a kitchen, bathroom & bedroom cupboard refurb. We were required to make full payment for materials and part payment for labour upfront. He did not complete the job (two bathrooms not done at all, missing glass doors, quartz tops not delivered and more) and what was done was of a very poor quality (doors coming off in less than 3 months, incorrectly colored stickers put over holes and in full view) the missing materials and work not complete adds up to nearly R30k.
We have tried on numerous occasions to contact him with no success. On the one occasion he did answer he continued to make empty promises that have not come to anything. We have now been forced to hand him over to debt collectors and left with a half finished kitchen and bathrooms.
He indicated in his quote, and confirmed verbally that he would be on site to supervise his labour, which was never the case. The only time we saw him was at the end of the day when he came to collect his staff and often under the influence of alcohol.
It was an extremely costly and frustrating experience trying to work with Mark, with sub-standard finishes and a lack of integrity. BEWARE!
