I have recently erected 2 wooden cottages which Home Renovations was then contracted to complete. ie: all interior clading, ceilings, plumbing, electrical connections, varnishing, painting etc. Right from the beginning they never started on the agreed on date but a week or two later. To the point that I eventually had to move in while they were finishing off my cottage as I could no longer afford to rent elsewhere. I then discovered that plumbing and electrical installations were being done by somewhat experienced but unqualified workers. During the final electrical work on my cottage the "supervisor" had to be away on family business and the work was left to a totally unqualified ordinary worker. This resulted in me having to sub-contract another qualified electrition to redo 80% of all the wiring to get it up to standard (at huge extra expense).
It has now become impossible to get them to come to repair or complete outstanding work which has already been paid for. My calls are not answered, my messages are not returned and if I do manage to contact them an appointment is made to which they do not arrive with no excuse or explanation. They now refuse to complete the work.
