Poor quality workmanship
In 2012 we had underfloor-heating and laminate floors installed in open plan kitchen-dining-room and we moved in in July 2012. Until a month ago the 2 underfloor-heating mats were replaced 2 and 3 times respectively (apparently 3rd time water was spilled on floor-but we don't know as we are still awaiting laboratory results for over 4 weeks now). The underfloor-heating has not been used for a whole winter season yet! We are without more than half the floors in our kitchen for a month now-also not the first time that we have to endure this kind of inconvenience. The owner insisted that we now claim from insurance, yet he delays a promised report that the insurance insists on. I suspect that outstanding money is the reason why Mike follows up (which we refuse to pay unless the problems are resolved) as we wait weeks to months for problems to be addressed. When he comes around, he has bizarre and ridiculous excuses for the problems in order not to take responsibility for poor workmanship- of which has been confirmed by 3 independent laminate floor installers.
