Cancelling an Order without any notice

I have been waiting for 3 weeks for a confirmed delivery and ETA on a new Dell Server which I ordered on their website. I made payment, the amount was reserved on my credit card and then the wait started.

I received no communication from them at all. So I started sending and re-sending all of my emails to which I eventually received a response of "You order has been cancelled and will not be re-booked".

After waiting 3 weeks and having to bug them until I received a response. This is the worst kind of Customer Service, absolutely pathetic communication and respect for their client. No explanation offered, no alternatives suggested, not even an email signature on the email so I know who I am actually dealing with. Simply a first name.

Needless to say all the Dell servers I have installed in the past will not be upgraded with Dell servers in the future.

If you are looking to get anything in a hurry... or for that matter any product, customer service or general courtesy then avoid Dell South Africa. You are guaranteed to be disappointed.
