Bitter experience with Mercedes Benz Insurance

I'm shocked by the level of service received from Mercedes Benz Insurance. The service is impersonal with email that have no author, signed by Mercedes-Benz Financial Services South Africa (Pty) Ltd. This makes it imposible to follow through. Hold time for their 0861 324 653 number is 30 minutes to an hour. And after holding that long the request does not get actioned.

I made 3 attempts to get my top up vehicle cover terminated immediately in writing; followed up with unplasant long hold call after few days when i had no respond. Then a follow up email when i noticed i've been billed R291.73. It took 18 days with no action; i was then emailed immediated reply confirming cancellation. Completely ignoring my request for refund. Then 6 days after i insisted, i received email that they are entitled to full month payment; no apology for bad service, extensive turnaround time with no correspondecne and the arrogance to ingore customers. I am no prepared to pay this amount after i made myself clear i didn't require their services anymore and i was ignored that i had to force a confirmation of cancellation.

This type of arrogance make me reconsider my 5 year commitments on other levels.
