Who would have thought that I would have experienced such problems with my Golf 6 and it only has 49000km's on the clock.
I purchased my car in 2010 brand new from VW and about 1 year later when the car had about 25000km
I started having problems with the car. I took the vehicle into a dealership and I was told that there was an engine fault and they had to take my engine apart to find the fault. For 4 weeks I did not have a car. They even had the nerve to tell me that they had no courtesy vehicles and I was left to hire a car and find my way around whilst they were looking for the fault. I then got a call to say that they had to order me a new engine from Germany but will keep me posted. I then got a call a few days later to say that they would be changing the pistons and would not be getting a new engine. Another week went by and this time I spoke to the dealer principe and demanded a car for the inconvenience. So wait for this .. Guess what car they give me? A Chevrolet pulled from the " yard". Another year later 49 000kms on the clock and the same problem seems to be back again. Twice in my cars 3 year history. A car like this should not be having engine problems.
