In October last year, I purchased a brand new Hunydai Elantra 1.6 GLS from Hyundai Zambesi.
I had noticed after a while that the tyres were getting worn out on the sides. I took the vehicle back last year, and the folks at the service desk were not even surprised, stating that there was a problem with the factory-fitted shocks, and that they would be replaced under warranty.
Now this is all great, but there are a couple of issues here:
1. Why didn't Hyundai contact me first to let me know that they were aware of this issue? If I had not gone back, would they have come back to me to state that they are aware of the issue? In no way am I trying to blame the salesperson who sold the car to me, as he was relatively new at the branch at the time I purchased the vehicle.
2. I have been waiting for these replacement parts for around 3 months now! The shocks on the car are getting ever more worn out, and instead of feeling like a vehicle that is 4 months old, it feels more like a car that is 10 - 15 years old!
Plus my rain sensors don't always work, and when I pointed this out, some tests were done, and they said that they do work, but I still have issues with this to this day.
