Delays in fitment

An incident report was made in early March after windscreen damage by a tyre shard left a windsreeen cracked and irrepairable. A claim was lodged with MIWay, the nominated provider Autoboys. Initially the glass was not available, the expected fitment delay three to four weeks. The windscreens arrived in late March.By early April I had ascertained both that the glass was available and could be fitted within three days. Reported to Autoboys, they refused to order glass from a supplier not on their vendor list as this conflicted with their systems approach. At the end of April, their supplier refused to supply the glass the Autoboys as they had not paid their accounts timeously. I was later informed that the fitment date would be delayed to the 6th May by which time they had undertaken to pay outstanding monies. This would be ten weeks after the claim was submitted and six weeks since glass was available in the country. My car was effectively unroadworthy for six weeks since glass was available. This represents unsatisfactory service
