I have just had a very scary experience with a truck, registration BR39BMGP, which appeared on my search as a vehicle registered to a Logistix company where a very similar compliant from 2013 exists.
Driving on Old Pretoria Road at 16h40 on 19/01/2015 I am confronted by a tailgating, speeding, veering truck driver in a yellow truck. I tell him to slow down, as he is almost on top of my bumper and I fear for my safety, by doing the horizontal arm wave gesture for 'slow down'. He becomes VERY agitated. I attempt to change from the (slow) left lane I am in into the right (faster) lane simply to get out of his way as he will not stop tailgating! Whereas he should move to the right lane if he wishes to pass. BUT, he has already lost patience and is veering into the right hand lane. He becomes increasingly a bully and a short way up the road he stops his truck on my left slip road into Gibson Drive, blocking the road, forcing me to stop! He then gets out of his car and comes towards me in a VERY threatening manner. Only when he sees I am writing down his registration plate, does he beat a VERY hasty retreat!! He then does a 180 degree turn to get back onto the road as he was not even en route to my slip road but had deliberately taken it (aggressively and millimetres from my vehicle!) to stop me and intimidate me for daring to tell him to slow down! He then rushed away back onto Old Pretoria Rd..
This driver is a hazardous driver who WILL cause his company great loss and, inevitably, a law suit and who victimizises female drivers! It is almost inevitable that he will injure or kill someone through his incompetent and reckless driving.
I warn everyone to look out for this truck (if you wish to stay alive!) I warn his company to institute disciplinary charges against the driver on duty at the stipulated date and time of this report.
