I rented a car from AVIS and noticed bad road performance. A colleague of mine and I looked at the tyres, which were so worn that the car was not roadworthy.
Pointing this out to AVIS afterwards did not result in more than a few emails back and forth trying to cover up the problem.
Due to AVIS' lack of admitting guilt, I have stopped using AVIS in South Africa and will in all future check my vehicle thoroughly before driving out of the car park.
It is a pity that AVIS refused to deal with my complaint as I for 5 years have used the services of AVIS and been happy so far. I do not however dare to drive an AVIS car in South Africa any longer with the attempted cover up.
Had I not had a colleague to verify my claim, I would not have writting this on HelloPeter.
