I booked a car online through [URL Removed] from Cape Town International airport, which they processed through Woodford - a little known brand car hire company. They charged me more than double what Hertz and other reputable brands charge for superior cars plus they demanded more than double the deposit of other companies. No paper work was ready when I arrived and I had no notification that the deposit required was so out of line with the market average. The company rep just shrugged his shoulders and strongly suggested that I never use their service provider again, [URL Removed], because they have endless complaints about excessive charges and customers getting ripped off!! That was that - no response to my complaint directly to the online company or Woodford - the car advertised for R144 per day cost me R657!! I was so annoyed, I did not even take their car - just went next door to Hertz and received decent service and good value. Stay away from this unprofessional company - as per the many complaints on Hello Peter about Woodford indicate - this is their standard way of operating, I was just lucky to lose only R657 other have lost a lot more.
