I purchased a vehicle from WIllow Crest in September last year. My car broker went up to see the vehicle, and told me that the cubbyhole was broken, but that they would fix it. He negotiated on my behalf on the price of the vehicle. When I received the vehicle, the cubbyhole broke after 2 days (it had just been glued back together, not actually fixed.)
When I phoned WIllow Crest about this, the manager said he "can't remember" saying he would fix it. We had an argument, whereby he started shouting at me. accusing me of "getting smart with him" and said that if I wanted the cubbyhole fixed I must drive back up to Johannesburg and he will fix it. He also slammed the phone down on me.
There is NO after sales service. Both the manager and Kurt (original salesman) were extremely rude on the phone and refused to even try to sort things out. They said the car was a "private deal" whatever that means, and that I had no recourse should anything go wrong with the car. How is buying a car from a dealership not a private deal?
This company obviously has not read the new Consumer protection Act. So best you stay away from them!!!
