On July 27, I went to the BP service station in Bryanston to fill up my diesel car. I told the attendant to fill it up and use automatic stop. While he was filling up, I glanced over to see a nightmare scenario: he was filling in petrol in the diesel car! How he missed the very large DIESEL writing on both the tank and the cap, I do not know. But, the damage was done. He stopped when I called out the situation. He then called his supervisor, and then the station manager, Wilson. From the beginning, Wilson was very fair and accommodating. He told the attendant this was not acceptable. He gave me his personal cellphone number and paid for the towtruck in cash. He called me the following day and assured me that they will pay for all the damages. And indeed, himself personally went to the car dealership and paid in cash for the expenses so that I can get my car back quicker (if they EFT money, it takes extra 2 days until the money clears before you can take delivery of the vehicle). All in all, both Wilson and Nonhanhla were excellent in handling the situation. I have the highest praise for them and I hope they pass on these management skills to all their employees!
