Citroen
Repairing wrong parts

The first week in June our 2006 citroen c2 lost all power while we were standing at a robot. The car suffered to idle and had no power through the rev range.

The car was taken to the dealership, and after the diagnostics was run, we were told not to drive with the car, as the oxegyn an map sensors was faulty. These two components was replaced the sameday at a cost of almost R 6000-00. That sameday after I picked up the car, I phoned the workshop, telling the them that the car was still down on power. I was informed that the ecu had to be reset. That Wednesday night our car complete broke down, alongside the road, not even wanting to start. Their roadside assistance was called out, and the mechanic checked everything from fuelpressure to compression, and even the timing belt. His remark, was that he never came across this sort of problem and he did not know what was wrong. l decided to take the car to steves auto clinic the next day, where I was informed that the timong was of, and that the belt tensioner of the timing belt was broken. This was replaced, and car has been working fine. I feel I was charged for someting that was not broken and the real problem wasnt adressed
