I took my car in for a service and brakes. They are RMI accredited so I had extra peace of mind. The prices were very good and they only fitted quality parts with a 1 year guarantee. I was very happy and phoned David a few days later to compliment him. He told me about a false report written from a customer that was there the same day as me saying 'robbed me of R1400'
This is my opinion of what happened: I overheard the conversation and I spoke to the mechanic and the customer so I understood exactly what was going on. I waited quite a while for a lift so I was there and saw everything.
Car Clinic completed a service and timing belt change and when testing, the solenoid on the starter failed so the car wouldn't start as can happen with electric parts... David agreed to replace this solenoid free of charge and the customer only had to pay for the part not the labour. David agreed to an additional R600 discount off the original invoice too - very generous, I thought.
I then read about this customer writing that Car Clinic 'robbed them of R1400' This report was completely false and I cannot understand how such a was written about this incident. Car Clinic went the extra mile!
