General Motors South Africa
GM Negligence now I have a seized engine

Took my car to GM when the engine light came on. Instructed them to find out what problem is. An hour after my car was dropped off, I was told to fetch it, as their specialised machien shows no error codes. I asked what is next step? They said to fetch car in bring in if light comes on again. Did so 4 days later when light came on again, but this time I insisted to stay and watch them test car. very quickly an error code was picked up for a solenid valve. When I confronted them why they didnt pick it up 1st time, michelle the Service Advisor sais it cant pick up problems if light is not on. Have invoice and printout where they state NO FAULT. Something that Thorpe Delta and GM H/O disagrees with, as error codes are stored in car's system. When confronted her with this info, she said well, thats what the tech Advisor said. They couldnt check car on the Friday, said I must come back again Monday. Sunday car broke down. Car was towed to them. A day later got a call from them, they havent opened engine but can hear from sound extreme damage to engine and not worth opening engine up?? Since then had no joy from them for a solution, only sarcastic, rude comments.
