I work for a prominent company and we booked our Christmas lunch function for 60 people. However, the restaurant was totally overbooked... a marquee tent was set up outside for another function, we were seated outside, there was patrons inside, long queues for food... and eventually the food ran out. Some of my colleagues had a small plate of pumpkin and a sausage as that was the only food left. The carvery was depleted just after most of us had salad, the only food left was stir fry and the braaied meat. Even the desert table did not gave enough food, eventually packets of Marie biscuits were opened, mixed with custard, put into a serving dish and presented as some sort of pudding. At our table, a payment was done for bottomless beer... an hour later, after asking the waitress again, the glass and drink was finally presented. It was a most disappointing afternoon, I will most definitely never set foot there again, their greediness has totally ruined it for us.
