On 2 separate occasions, I purchased 2 different menu items from Fishaways EMPANGENI and I have to say it s a total rip off for what you pay. The Paella serving for R45 is more a starter than a main course... This won't even fill your girlfriend, let alone a hungry guy.
Fishaways prices escalate and the portions get smaller. If you want real Seafood, go to Ocean Basket, their combo meals are more than enough for a single person and might even be enough for 2!
The Fishaways franchises need stricter control...
The Richards Bay outlet has far superior standards, and the Newcastle Branch is the best, but it seems as if the group is cutting portions as a whole.
Also, the menu flexibility is embarrassing. The squiggly heads cannot be topped up and the calamari tubes are perceived to be a main meal for the Fishaways Marketing dept. have they not heard of top up portions..???
Last night after not being able to decide at a Fishaways, I ended up at Ocean Basket - I was a happy camper!!!
Check out their instore specials - you'll be surprised at how much more value than Fishaways you will get at Ocean Basket, even the the same price!
