We lodged a complaint to Nandos over a week after we had eaten a meal from their Sea Point branch, only to end up in the Emergency Rooms due to a sever case of food poisoning. Being a (breastfeeding) mother of an 8-month old baby, I had to get help in the following day (Friday), since I was very weak from all the vomiting the night before. The hospital confirmed that it had indeed been the Nandos meal that made me so sick. I then got the flu, and between working, looking after my baby and focusing on getting healthy, I only got around to letting Nandos know over a week later about the incident. I explained what had happened, yet I was told that my complaint was too late after the fact, and that I would be receiving a R250 Nandos voucher in the mail. The hospital bill far exceeded R250 and Nandos is the LAST restaurant that I would choose to go to! I am appalled at their nonchalance, as well as the manner in which they handled my situation. I have the doctors advice sheet from the hospital, as well as the receipt from Nandos, as we just asked for reimbursement for the meal, yet they were not even interested in seeing them. Never again will we be supporting Nandos!
