Once again last night Grahamstown was plunged into darkness, meaning that take-away joints and restuarants closed their doors. Steers on the other hand, in the absence of Pierre (who is away for a few days), went right on serving food, albeit off a limited menu. Not only could Steers feed us but because of their foresight, all their handheld card swipe machines were charged and debit cards were welcome! To Pierre and his staff, thank you for feeding me last night when the odds were heavily stacked against you, doing so efficiently and providing the same excellent quality. Pierre, your staff were absolute stars!
