I had decided to meet an old friend for supper at Mikes Kitchen in Parktown a few weeks ago.
we ordered our meals and after taking a few bites - mine was not up to scratch (it just tasted like... nothing. bland/cardboard)
i made the waitress aware, but did not complain, or expect a refund of any sort... it was just to pass on my comments to the chef.
a few minutes later, the manager on duty (Werner, if i remember correctly) arrived to apologise and advised that he had consulted with the chef. he also advised that we would not be charged for the order. i insisted that it was not necessary, but he insisted that it was not fair and the item was excluded from the bill
great example of an unfortunate experience, being handled well.
