On 26 February I contacted Std Bank HomeLoans as well Customer Assist, because I informed them that my wife will be on Maternity leave for 4 months and will only be receiving a third of her salary. I requested that we get a 3 month payment holiday, which Std Bank Home Loans assured me was a service they provided.
The person at Customer Assist requested that we send them a signed letter stating the reason for the payment holiday (I have copies of the emails) which I did on 26/02. On 5/03 I emailed them again as I had no response, and received an email the following day saying they have high volumes and will get back to me. It is now 12/03, exactly two weeks since my original request and I have not heard a thing.
We have paid our bond religiously every month since 2006 and now we need some assistance. I would have hoped this would have been finalised already as my wife goes on official maternity leave from 1 April. From the end of April until the end of June, we are not going to be able to pay this bond and we need assistance asap!

Std Bank needs to understand the seriousness of this situation for us! And this customer assist dept, is clearly not living up to their name!
