I have been under Debt review. Which would have been an eight year plan, I have managed to complete in 3 years. When my Debt Councilor requested a settlement amount on 21 January 2013, we only received it on 25 January 2013. I settled my account on 31 January 2013 and this is where my problems start. I went right after I made the settlement payment at the cashier to the help desk where a lady called the loan department to inform them that I made settlement payment. She requested on my behalf a letter (for my Debt Councilor) that the account has been settled and that it has been closed. They told me it will take 3 to 5 working days and took my e-mail address. On the 8th of February I started my long journey to try and get the letter from Absa. After numerous calls, e-mails from my Debt Councilor (dated 5/02/13, 19/02/13 and 27/03/13) we have still not received any feedback nor any reply. Absa your service to say the least. If I do not receive my letter by end of this week 1/03/2013, I will then complain to NCR, NMDA and the Bank Ombudsman. You are quick to call me every month to remind me to make payment, but why are you not delivering now?
